Making yummy homemade baby food should not be time consuming or stressful. All you need is knowledge of the Nutritious and healthy meals to prepare for your baby.

Your baby can have a variety of porridge, purees or soft foods from an early age but today let’s talk PUREES

Things to Note
1. Your baby can have homemade purees from as early as six months of age

2. When making purees for your baby at an early age it should be of a very light consistency or texture without chunks, this can be thickened gradually as baby grows.

3. Food ingredients your little one of 6 months can have includes

Fruits like Apples, Pear, Papaya (pawpaw), Avocado pear, Bananas and Pumpkin, these are great as starter fruits.

Pls allow me to brag about the richness of Apples

Apples are  considered one of the best first foods option for babies, this might be due to its combination of sweet and natural earthy taste in addition they are extremely rich in important antioxidants.
Apples are rich in vitamins like A, B1, B2 and C. They also contain minerals like iodine, phosphorous, iron and calcium that aids in overall development of your child’s skin, organs, blood and bones.
Apples are also rich in dietary fiber which is essential for smooth bowel movement.

Grains such Millet, Oats, Rice and Corn are great options you can try

Now let’s talk Veggies!!

Beans (Green), Carrots, Peas, leafy greens (Pumpkin leaves, spinach), potatoes

Carrots: One medium carrot contains 204 percent of daily recommended value of Vit. A.  This vitamin, also known as retinol, is responsible for maintaining the health of your eyes. Carrots are also a source of Vitamin K which maintains the blood’s ability to clot. It also contributes to bone strength and kidney health.

Mix matching any of these ingredient options can create a variety of great tasting and nutrient packed purees for your little ones.

For first timers I will advise you start with single ingredient purees.

Purees can be served with milk for complete nourishment and great taste.
